Craola: Project

This is my last project for the 2nd quarter. For this project, I had to create an original picture based off of the style of Craola. I decided to go with a sea themed picture since his style involves a lot of animals. Even though he doesn't draw people, I decided to add in a mermaid just for the theme and also to fill up space.
I shaded certain parts of the picture just by hatching much like what Craola does in his very detailed pictures. Then, I drew out the fish and the mermaid similar to his "cartoony" drawings. I think I did ok trying to match his style for this project.

Project

 My first project for the 2nd Quarter. I started off by making a grid and sketching it. Then, inking it. This was a challenging project to do. It took me very long to do this. The head, body and arms were the hard parts to do. I am just not used to drawing very detailed pictures.

Charles Vess

Project for 1st Quarter on Charles Vess. I tried to fit the whole thing on to the paper, but gave up and decided to ink it already. That's why the top part is cut off compared to the original.

Illustrations 1 & 2

The first two illustrations I had to draw and ink. The second one was supposed to have another drawing, but I couldn't finish in time. The anime illustrations were challenging for me due to so much detail especially the second picture. I tried to fit all the characters on the paper, which made them look squished together.
